Museveni's 35 years of Steadfastness And Clout in Uganda (and so?)

Image
Without doubt the 35 years of Museveni's rule have been a midwife for catalytic agency and eventual self-determination in the economic, social, political, cultural, spiritual, traditional and security dimensions of the life of Ugandans. The 35 years of statehood under Museveni have provided ground for figuring out what works and what does not in Uganda's drive toward social transformation. The statistics bear this out, and are not data for the English/Americans to see. Ugandans are able to name the visceral-driven needs and seek redress through various channels such as the Local government and the indigenous African cultural structures. Ethno-cultural-socio membership essentialism has delineated the lines through which Ugandans continue to appreciate diversity's potential enabling them to benefit from the collective potency on which Uganda as a state runs. Political party membership essentialism has been exploited by subscribers along party lines to leverage outcomes based ...

Strategic Use of Social Media Platforms Makes Them Work Spaces That Promote Inclusion Goals

Image
Using Social Media Platforms To Enhance Health Promotion and  Advocacy Campaigns Against HIV, TB,Malaria and COVID-19 We involve ourselves in strategic promotion of information, education and communication to raise consciousness about how contributions to quality life goals can optimally be made. Regularly updated social media platforms enable us to provide information that stimulates decision-making. We use the platforms as notice boards though which we connect with readers. Social media platforms are an archive of activities that can be accessed by those who desire to find out what we are engaged in. Social media platforms are reporting tools which can be used to track activities. The platforms are an opportunity to manage what is shared widely, they make interaction possible and provide themes to follow categorically. The routine embedded within such enterprise makes it galvanizing especially if those who were previously stigmatized or discriminated can use the platforms to broa...

The Baganda Are Not Racist, It Goes Against The Buganda Kabakaship Ideals

Image
The Baganda Are Not Racist, It Goes Against the Buganda Kabakaship Ideals Tom Rogers Muyunga-Mukasa The Baganda are notoriously accommodative, hospitable and obsessive hosts.  This hospitable nature didn't come about abruptly. It is a tried and tested dignity-affirming ethos,  consciousness and  an aspiration that goes so many centuries back in time.  Hospitality is driven by a dynamism and synthesis upon which the treatment of a human body and nature are central themes.  The human-body  is provided opportunities to achieve its fullest potential. Nature is treated as a provider whose resources are handled judiciously and responsibly.   The Baganda are defined at different planes. There is a geographically-rooted determination of the Baganda. There is a diasporic Baganda persons living and thriving outside the geographic Buganda region. There are those who have affiliation to Buganda and wish her to thrive through the institutions and structures. ...

Pre-Colonial Africa And A Revisit Of The Westphalian Model States: A Case Study of Pre-Colonial Buganda Kabakaship

Pre-Colonial Africa And A Revisit Of The Westphalian Model States: A Case Study of Pre-Colonial Buganda Kabakaship Tom R. Muyunga-Mukasa At its core the Westphalian model of statehood assumes that all those states other than the Western World, must not have economic bargaining power to threaten an existing manufacturing status quo. African cultural elitism threatens that very status quo. This is so in that it is a pathway to social-economic transformation for  Africans.  Westphalian state models should be remodeled to factor in the potential for indigenous African cultural institutions to be economic drivers. But, this is a nationalism states like Britain, France, Canada or even Norway do not like Africa to have. Africa has indigenous infrastructure that can drive an inward look into solutions against a sickening poverty. The poverty levels in Africa are so sickening and ashaming African babies don't have to say "the king is naked!" Buganda Kabakaship is one such cultural...

Buganda Is A Post-Colonial Example From Africa Re-purposing The Westphalian Model Approaches To Productivity, Profit And Care for the Planet

Buganda Is A Post-Colonial Example From Africa Re-purposing The Westphalian Model Approaches To Productivity, Profit And Care for the Planet Tom Rogers Muyunga-Mukasa   The Baganda are obsessively communal. This is so because to be communal is the opiate representing safety, preservation, dignity, humanity and perseverance in the face of dangers, cataclysms and diseases.   The communal spirit has leveraged influencer mechanisms which are relied upon to share information, knowledge, skills and iteration. Safety,  preservation, dignity, humanity and perseverance  can only be achieved when dignity, unity and a sound ecology are the goals.  The Baganda revitalize robustness through providing a script to all humanity in which they point out that without dignity, unity and a sound ecology all humans face a morbid present.  They have within their structures, systems, myths, folklore and legends shown the inevitability of suffering and the futility of...
